  Poros town has many neoclassical buildings of dazzling beauty and is built on a hillside. An important landmark is the Clock Tower, built in 1927, and it stands on a hill on the island and is visible from everywhere.

• The Archaeological Museum in the center of townhouses has finds from the sacred temple of Poseidon, the ancient Trizina and other archaeological sites around Poros.

• In the northern part of the island are the ruins of the Temple Poseidon who investigators believe it was built around 520 BC The dimensions of the temple, which is Doric, is 27.4 × 14.4 m. and consists of six columns widthwise and twelve along. Here poisoned with hemlock the orator Demosthenes, having escaped from the governor of Macedonia Antipater.

• Poros was the site of the first naval base in modern Greece, founded in 1827 during the Greek Revolution. The space is still used by the Navy as a training center recruits.

• Mpourtzi. It is a small island that was built around 1828 in area where the old church of Agios Konstantinos. This island had donated to the monastery resources before 1770 Anthony surfer. MOST TRUSTED BEACHES OF RESOURCE

Askeli Bay only 5 minutes walk from Hotel Cascade. The Askeli Bay is great and very popular during the summer months. It has many restaurants where you can take  break from swimming and sun, to taste a local delicacy or a cool drink. It is ideal for children, where the water is shallow and clear. At the end of the beach there is a big (out)sports center a marine activities where you can try your hand at water skiing or other sports. The beach volley is also popular and there is a special court for this on the main beach.

Poros island -Beaches• The beach Monastery is a bit quieter than the bustling Askeli Bay,and offers an alternative for those who need rest and close to Monastery of the Life-Giving Spring, from which it took its her name. The beach has a small tavern to enjoy refreshing drinks. There is a local bus to and from the beach, so the access without your own transport is easy.

• Beach Canali is the closest to the town of Poros. Has shallow and clean waters and is excellent for children. There are several restaurants that you can choose to dine in.

• Neorio is the second largest beach on the island of Poros, it has many tavernas and restaurants, while the coast is groomed and popular with locals.

• The Love Bay is a lively little cove, despite the fact that space is limited. The water is very clean and there are several pine trees that offer relief from the sun when needed.

• Russian Dockyard The beach is the last beach in this part of the coast. It took its name from an old Russian naval base (ruins of buildings still exist). A small bar offers patrons a break from the sun with refreshing drinks. It is very popular, with many boats and from here you can take water taxi to the town of Poros.

• In the northern part of the island is the bay Vagionia. Access is difficult if you do not have your own vehicle, but you can rent a motorbike or take a taxi. Driving, however, is stunning with panoramic view from the top of the bay watching the endless deep blue. The beach is rocky , however, it is a great place for diving, so do not forget to take the equipment with you. There is a canteen where you can buy drinks and homemade Greek meze.
